Elegance, luxury and good taste arethe first thingswe picture whenwe hearthe nameor seethe iconicsymbol from THEmaison. The founder of the worldwide known brand, Gabrielle"Coco" Chanel was not onlya great designer, but astrong and confidentwomanwho revolutionizedfashion withher clothing andsupported theequality movement in the 20'sthatgave women a voice. It is worth mentioning that we all dream and droolwith any piece with her name on it. Doesn't matter if it is a dress, the little black jaketor a boy bag, that makes us wonder who needs men if you can have perfection hanging from your shoulder, Chanel will always be something to fall in love for....
I went yesterday tothe opening party of thefirstChanel Pop-Up storeinMexicoand Latin America at AntaraPolancoFashionHallwheregreat editorsand guestcouldsee forthe first timethis lovely beauty sanctuary created byEl Palacio de Hierro and Chanel for us fashion lovers.
Here with the one & only Kelly Talamas
Editor in chief ofVogue Mexico and Latin America
With the actress Ana de la Reguera and Brenda Diaz de la Vega
Editor in chief ofHarper's Bazaar Mexico and Latin America
Fernanda GarcÃa Beauty Coordinator of Vogue Mexico and Latin America
Le Vernis (nailpolish), perfumes, shadows, foundations, mascaras, lipsticksand powders from the fourmakeup collectionsof the brand just asspecialservices andbeautytreatments to make us look DIVINE are offered in the store, which will only be there for six months.
...I know it's really sad, but let's try to stay beautiful and don't cry... that's what Coco would have wanted...
The way to apply is always important that's why Chanel has a great brush variaty
The event followedwithgreat music played by the DJ's tom&collins, delicious treatsand glasses ofchampagne!
The store is really chic, fresh, classy and perfectly pictures this fun and young side of Chanel.
It's already open, so run and start enjoying the wonderful products they have to offer!
I would liketo especially thank Gina Pineda and FlavioRiverafrom ElPalacio de Hierro as well as Chanel for everything. It was a perfect & magical evening, which I really enjoyed.
The designer, whospent time atthe prestigious Marangoni Institute in Milano as a listenerand thenstudied at the "Studio Degli Abiti" in Mexico city, receivedmein her officeand lead me immediatelyto theshowroom were her creations are displayed.
The first thingI noticed wasthat it looks like acloset, because besides her garments she also has an accesories' corner with a great variaty.
Shetold me thatthe main idea of this was thather clients could choose some of her pieces and also have the opportunity toaccessorize them in the moment so they avoid the typical "How can I wear this?" situation.
FerZu
Amazing jewelry made out of zipper
100% original!
Diego Ibanez
I found it very good because aside from that, many accessories and shoes are from mexican designers like FerZu (jewelry designer) and Diego Ibanez (shoe designer) who have lots of pretty things and having them there helps to promote local talent.
Thewoman for whomDanielaFerrari designsis cheerful, feminine, has positive attitudetowards life,likesretro-inspired clothes and exclusivity, as thedesigner only makes 2or3 items ofeach model so that the brand is always verypersonal and unique.
This sweater is so girly and chic, I'm in love!
If you likelace and transparenciesyou will lovethisbrand becauseDaniela is a master when it comes to play withthe effects ofthese fabrics.Herproposalsis practicality bywhichyou can buy atranslucentdresswithdifferentcolored backgroundsto give it atwistevery time youwear it.
This dress helps the purpose, apart for being so beautiful.
Hand-sticht details are also very present, specially in her bridal gowns with pearl, cristal applications and tul flowers.
Dresses, hats, sunnies, piña colada and sun come along with summerasweel as a pair of gorgeous sandals. Andwearing sandalsinvolves having nice&soft feet and many people have ugly, dryand unkempt hoofs that would scare the hell out of anyone making them wear socks even in the sand. (yuck)
My mother alwaysinstilled(or ratherneverleft me) I should never walk barefoot, I alwayswore socksand talcso that myfeet weresoft... but one summerI wentto Germanyand walkedinflipflops24/7. It was expected thatthe plastichurtmy feet andturned them intostone.
So whenIreturn, my mother tald me that if I wanted to get my princess feet back (yes I'm being modest hihihi) I had tosubjectto arigorous system: putvaseline every nightand sleepwith socks.
Vaseline feels funny, but if you do these daily you'llsee resultsin a few weeks
With thisyou will havenoproblemin presumingyour feetthis summer! Remember that a goodpedicuremakes yourfeet lookeven better.

Fredo by Alfonso Loher (2011 auction)
But, why is this a remarkable story? Well, nowadays Fredo the bear helps many organizations on behalf of those most in need. Every year a group of people is chosen to decorate a bear and then sell it in an auction.
